On A Cold Day

If the song is sung
the men will come
and save the day
of the early morn.
And sunny days
will follow us forever.

So now the day
will come in May.
We’ll never sigh
Or say goodbye
To friends that go
on to Glory.


I don’t know
Where I might go
To brave the snow
And bitter cold.
But if it is
The truth be told
I will stay
And grow quite old
Where my heart is stuck,
With any luck.
